Our History
Ross Electric was started in 1955 by Robert H. Ross, after his retirement from the Air Force. The goal of Ross Electric has always been to serve the San Antonio area with quality electrical wiring at fair prices. The large group of repeat business customers, some dating back to 1955, validates the business plan Mr. Ross envisioned. The company takes an active role in the community and local organizations, including animal causes, the Salvation Army, and sponsorship of childrens sports activities.
About Us
Kyle Ross, Ross Electric President and Co-Owner, 1977 - Present
With over 35 years of experience and a lifetime of knowledge, Kyle Ross got his start in the industry at a very young age. As a small child, Kyle's passion for electrical work was nurtured with quality time in the field alongside electrical crews. After attending Texas Tech University, he went on to obtain 3 Master Licenses and joined the Ross Electric Team in 1992.
When he is not out in the field or in the office researching the latest technological advances, Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, his daughter, Lindsay, and their dogs, Gator and Gus. He also enjoys spending his free time fishing or golfing.
Karrie Ross Pennebaker, Ross Electric Vice President/Office Manager and Co-Owner, 1995 - Present
Learning how to wire homes with the electrical teams when she was young, Karrie Ross Pennebaker's career began at an early age. After graduating from Churchill High School in 1986, Karrie proudly obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio. With a journeyman electrician license and over 15 years of experience, she manages the day-to-day operations with her daughter, Bailey. Karrie is training Bailey to take over once she retires, continuing the Ross Electric Family legacy.
Outside the office, Karrie enjoys spending time with her husband, Doug Pennebaker, and their children, Bailey, baby Kyle, Garrett, and Elliot. The Pennebaker family loves celebrating Karrie and Doug's birthdays while on vacation in Breckenridge each summer. Along with celebrating with her loved ones, Karrie likes hiking, visiting breweries, and the cooler weather in Colorado. When at home in San Antonio, she enjoys cooking healthy meals, working out, BSF Bible Study, reading, and the companionship of her rescue dog, Winston (who she absolutely adores!)
Bailey Landrum, Ross Electric Office Manager, 2016 - Present
Bailey Landrum officially started her career at Ross Electric in 2016, but her experience in the industry began well before that when she spent time in the office with Karrie, her mom, during high school. Upon her graduation from Alamo Heights High School in 2011, Bailey attended The University of Texas at San Antonio and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She now serves as an Office Manager. Bailey is proud to continue the Ross Family legacy as part of the Ross Electric team.
In her free time, Bailey enjoys attending classes at Orangetheory, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her boyfriend, William, and her adorable miniature dachshund, Louie.
